UDREAM Workshop aims to encourage imaginative expression and healing through multisensory art activities including short film, UDream Cards*, and response art. The workshop will provide a space for both individual and collective reflection and healing as well as tools to enliven therapeutic processes through creative arts. There are no requirements necessary, just an openness and interest to engage in participatory spaces. Participants will select which UDream cards they resonate with and arrange them into a miniature story or mandala. There will also be an opportunity to explore imagery/drawing for the purpose of self-discovery. This will be a playful activity intended to use drawing to identify visions and dreams for the future. After the workshop, we hope participants feel more aware of their inner gifts and creative needs to enhance daily life.
*Cards containing images used to evoke creative, emotional responses.
About the Instructor
Hart Ginsburg, LCPC, is a therapist who strives to creatively support his clients through self-awareness, acceptance and empowerment. Over the past 15 years, most of his clinical work has been with immigrant/refugee populations, artists and others interested in developing existential awareness. Being inspired by witnessing the creativity of his clients, he started Digital Tapestries which develops abstract and existential art forms to broaden perspectives through films, art-therapy resources and experiential workshops.
