Sheri Reda

Sheri Reda is a creative consultant who nurtures two great loves: words and other people. Depending on her clients’ needs, she serves as a writer, editor, project director, teacher, researcher, librarian, celebrant, or performer. All of her roles converge around the same thing: communicating ideas in a way that allows meaning to emerge. Sheri holds three master’s degrees—in Modern Letters, Religions and the Arts, and Library Science—each related to forms of communication. She served for ten years as Editor-in-Chief at the award-winning and profitable Conscious Choice Journal of Ecology and Natural Living, then gained certification by the Celebrant Foundation and Institute, then began creating and officiating at weddings, memorials, and other ceremonies. Sheri has authored more than 22 publications available through WorldCat, and her stories and poems have been published in journals throughout the United States and in England. Her collection of political poems, entitled Stubborn, was published as a Locofo Chap by Moria Press. A charismatic and experienced performer, Sheri is a longstanding member of the Neo-Futurists and a former member of the TranceSisters multidisciplinary arts collective. She is a member of the Advocate Healthcare Narrative Medicine Committee and is co-facilitator, with Anita Vaughn, of the Illinois Chapter of CF&I. Sheri and her family live in Chicago, where she continues to write, envision, act, and contribute to her community of choice and communities of chance.

Jane was delighted to join the Jung Center Board of Trustees in 2018 following her recent move to Chicago from St. Louis. Prior to moving, Jane was active on the board of the C. G. Jung Society of St. Louis. She discovered Jung while living in Switzerland and enjoyed studying at the C. G. Jung Institute of Zurich.  …Read More

She has recently retired after working as an OT in psychiatry and rehabilitation.

She is Professor Emerita of Arizona State University and past President of Barnard College in New York City. For nearly twenty years she has taught, lectured and written about the theories and experiences of late life development.…Read More

For nearly twenty years she has taught, lectured and written about the theories and experiences of late life development. She was the co-developer of the MA in Gerontology program at Northeastern Illinois University and established the Program in Creative Aging at the Jung Institute of Chicago. From 2000 through 2006 she was the Executive Director and Director of Public Programs of The C. G. Jung Center in Evanston where she served on the Board of Trustees through 2014.  She now serves as a Board Member Emeritus.

Laura has been an analyst for over 27 years, and practices in Evanston and Chicago. Laura received a BA in 1963 in Liberal Arts from Northwestern University where she studied English Literature. She went on to receive her MA in 1978 in Communication Science at Governors State University, where she specialized in groups: Theories and Practice. In 1989, she received her Diploma as a Jungian Analyst from the Chicago Society of Jungian Analysts and went on to become an active member of the Chicago Institute, becoming chair of the Board of Trustees of the Chicago Institute in 1994. When the Institute separated into two entities, she became chair of the Board of the newly named “C. G. Jung Center”, and has served on the Board as a member through 2014. Laura now serves as a Board Member Emeritus. In addition to serving on the Board, Laura is a volunteer at the Clinic and also presents Public Programs.
