Instructor:  Sheri Reda

Treat yourself to some thoughtful science fiction! Described as ” a film about memory, perception, transformation, mutation, the inexorable relationship between creation and destruction,” this film traces a modern-day, female Orpheus retrieving her spouse from the underworld. In this deeply Jungian movie, the hero, her husband, and her colleagues live out different responses to their shadow selves. This film stars Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac. It was written and directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later).

* Warning: This film contains violence and graphic images.
