The Jung Center of Evanston cordially invites you to attend a lecture, reading, and book signing by Dr. Peter W. Demuth, a Jungian Analyst, where he will discuss his recently published book Monsters in Life and Literature – A Forensic Psychologist reflects on the nature of good and evil. Dr. Demuth will share his extensive experience in evaluating issues of insanity, evil, psychopathy, and criminal responsibility while interweaving Jungian concepts such as archetypes, complexes, persona, and shadow. He will also touch upon his original ideas of Dark Adaptation AND Psychological Allergies.  Time will be provided for  Q&A.

About the Instructor
Peter is a Clinical Psychologist & Jungian Analyst. He has a doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and a Masters from Loyola University, Baltimore. He is currently in Private Practice in Evanston, Illinois, and is an instructor at the CG Jung Institute of Chicago.

Previous positions include Former Chief Forensic Psychologist and Director of Clinical Training at the Elgin Mental Health Center, Senior Forensic Psychologist at the Crownsville Hospital Center in Annapolis, Maryland and Director of the Drug Treatment Program at the Patuxent Maximum Security Prison in Jessup, Maryland. Peter is also a Singer – Songwriter of over 150 Original Folk-Pop Compositions and has recorded 8 full length albums.
