September 7, 2017
7:30 pm CDT - 9:00 pm CDT
CEUs: 6
Instructor: Lori Engler
Enrollment limited to 10 participants.
This group will meet on the following dates: September 7, October 5, November 2, and December 7.
As a woman progresses through life, what she experiences may draw her away from developing and/or honoring her authentic self. Cultural mores, familial expectations, professional aspirations, relationships with friends and lovers, religious dogma, unanticipated life occurrences – all may compromise her relationship with her true self. If a woman does not have a support system encouraging her to cultivate her deepest self and reflect upon what the universe may be calling her to be, a woman may lose her connection to her inner core.
Modeled upon the book, Circle of Stones: Woman’s Journey to Herself by Judith Duerk, a series of four group sessions will be offered to assist women with reclaiming their authentic self. Within a circle of women, participants will have the opportunity to expand their understanding of the archetypal Feminine/Goddess and contemplate the following topics referenced in Circle of Stones: In Search of Her Mother, In Search of Herself, In Search of Her Life.
This series is intended for women age 50 and over. Though these group sessions will inspire women to ponder their respective life journey, the sessions should not be considered as group therapy. To enable every participant to interact within the group, this program will be limited to ten participants. To maximize the dynamics of this group, participants are strongly encouraged to attend all four sessions.
