I am a relational, depth therapist, deeply committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive treatment within a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect and responsibility. I believe that life’s difficulties and symptoms present us with opportunities to heal, grow, find meaning, develop our potential, and discover new possibilities. I work with adults, adolescents, couples and families on a wide-range of issues. Some areas of focus include trauma, abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, mental health issues, attachment, relational issues, loss, grief, life transitions, mediation, and collaborative divorce. Dedicated to my on-going professional development, I have obtained the following post-graduate training: completed the 2-year Jungian Clinical Training Program at the Jung Institute of Chicago; 7 years in Womencare’s Trauma Consultation group; 9-month training program in Dissociative Disorders; numerous trainings on PTSD, trauma related disorders and returning veterans; completed DePaul University’s training in Family and Divorce Mediation; and trained to be a collaborative divorce coach. Prior to going into private practice, I worked at two rape crisis centers, a domestic violence shelter, and at a major behavioral health in-patient hospital. I earned my M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and my B.S. degree from Northern Illinois University.
