Robert J. Moretti

Robert J. Moretti received his PhD in clinical psychology from Loyola University Chicago, followed by the completion of postgraduate work leading to the diploma in analytical psychology from the Jung Institute of Chicago. Prior to that he had earned an M.A. in personality processes from the Committee on Human Development at the University of Chicago, while also serving as a Research Fellow at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Moretti has been on the faculty at Northwestern University Medical School since 1981, He is the former Director of the program in health psychology in the Division of Psychology, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. His current practice focuses mostly upon anxiety disorders, mood disorders, health/medical issues, and couples counseling. In addition to his use of Jungian analysis, Dr. Moretti has had a career-long interest in the applications of hypnosis, meditation, biofeedback, and relaxation training to various disorders. In recent years he has integrated the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Jungian analysis.
