As a Jungian oriented therapist, I view the struggles of life as opportunities for growth and transformation. I am particularly interested in how the spiritual and psychological dimensions of the individual psyche interconnect and contribute to the potential for healing and wholeness. My approach to therapy is relational as well as psychodynamic. I understand the relationship between therapist and client to be one of the most important factors in the healing process. I therefore endeavor to create a thoughtful, compassionate, and safe space for that healing to occur.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Masters degree in Counseling as well as a Masters in Pastoral Studies, both from Loyola University, Chicago. I am a graduate of the Clinical Training Program (CTP), a two year certification program in Jungian Analytical Psychotherapy from the Jung Institute of Chicago and have completed Basic Training in EMDR through Argosy University, Chicago.
I have previously served as Clinic Therapist and Intake Coordinator and currently as a Volunteer Therapist , Clinic Committee member, and Board of Trustees member at The C. G. Jung Center in Evanston where I also facilitate monthly dream groups. I work well with individual adults who are looking for transformation and are motivated to change those areas that are not working in their life. I utilize dreams, active imagination, and mindfulness/mind-body modalities. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, stress management, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem issues, loss/grief, spiritual issues, and trauma/sexual abuse/PTSD.
