*This class will break for an hour lunch, which will be on your own.

This workshop seeks to understand astrology as a system of the collective unconscious. Building on the philosophical ideas of Carl Jung, we will explore the natal horoscope as a roadmap to individual consciousness. Participants are asked to bring their personal horoscopes to the workshop. These will be used to learn and understand how the planets, signs of the zodiac, planetary aspects, house placements and other aspects of the natal chart can be read as a roadmap of the individual personality. Participants can use online websites to calculate and print their horoscopes to bring to class.

About the Instructor
Anne Redlich is a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist practicing in Chicago with children, adults and adolescents. Anne has been a serious student of both Freud and Jung and studied in the Analyst Training Program at the Jung Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. Anne has also studied astrology and theosophy as well as eastern philosophy. Anne considers herself to be a free thinker and refuses to characterize her work and interests under any one school of thought. At the University of Michigan, Anne earned her B.A. in Medical Anthropology and Psychology where she studied with Keewaydinoquay, an Ojibwe Shaman and Ethnobotanist. Anne uses her broad education to inform her psychoanalytic practice and help those she works with to heal through the wisdom of their dreams and unconscious material.
