Embody Your Shadow

Instructor: Candice Wu

In Jungian Psychology, our shadow includes the parts of ourselves we disavow, disown, or cast away in others or in objects and symbols. While disavowing certain parts of ourselves can serve us temporarily, it ultimately diminishes our life energy, our vital force, and strips us of our full power. In addition, it can hamper our ability to enjoy our wholeness, spontaneity, and peace within ourselves. Our projections, disgust, or frustrations with others provide a beacon of access to a whole part of ourselves with which we can reconnect and reenergize.

In this workshop, Candice will facilitate and support you in safely exploring, acknowledging and embodying the integration of your shadow parts, to the degree you feel comfortable. While primarily experiential, this workshop will provide an understanding of how Family Constellations, or Systemic Constellations, and Somatic Experiencing can provide tools and processes for working with the shadow. Through embodied approaches we will explore reclaiming the energies that are locked within the shadow sides of ourselves and move towards wholeness.
